How is the Due Now section calculated?
Bookings Under 31 Days:
For instance, a booking from Jan 1st, 2024, to Jan 18th, 2024, for $10/day and a $200 installation fee is calculated as follows:
$180.00 - ($10 Daily rate x 18 Days booked x 1 Space)
$200.00 - Installation fee
$49.40 - *HST on Booking
$38.00 - Adlo Fee
$4.94 - HST on Adlo Fee
= $472.34 Due Now
*HST on booking fee is calculated at 13% on both the booking amount and installation fee
Bookings Over 31 days:
Consider a booking from Jan 1st, 2024, to March 18th, 2025, for $465/month and a $200 installation fee:
$465.00 - First Month (Jan 1st, 2024, to January 31st, 2024)
$270.00 - Pro Rated Period (March 1st, 2025, to March 18th, 2025)
$200.00 - Installation fee
$121.55 - HST on Booking
$93.50 - Adlo Fee
$12.15 - HST on Adlo Fee
= $1,162.20 Due Now
* For bookings that don’t end on the same day as the start date you will be charged for any remaining stub dates upfront. In this case you will be billed from March 1st, 2025 to March 18th, 2025. This is to ensure you aren’t paying for days that you aren’t renting. Instead of paying for the whole month of March, you’re only charged for the 18 days of March that you’ve selected times the daily rate ($15/day in this case).
When do I make a payment?
Once your booking is confirmed, the payment method you chose at booking will be charged the “Due now” amount using our secured payment platform. In the “Due Later” section, you will be provided with a payment schedule that breaks down all future monthly payments for your booking.
How much does Adlo charge?
In order to keep our platform running we charge 10% to both the Ad Space Renter and the Ad Space Host. This fee goes towards transaction fees and growing the marketplace.

In the rare event that a host must cancel a booking, the following policy outlines the procedures, consequences, and refund protocols:
1. Valid Reasons for Host Cancellation
- Unforeseen Circumstances: Hosts may cancel a booking due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances that make it impossible to provide the booked ad space. Examples include property damage, safety concerns, or events beyond the host's control.

- Reputation Impact: Hosts should be aware that frequent cancellations can negatively affect their reputation on the platform in the form of ratings and reviews, potentially leading to fewer bookings in the future.
4. Refund Process
- Hosts who cancel a booking without a valid reason may face penalties, including temporary suspension or removal from the platform, depending on the frequency and reasons for cancellation. The installation fee will also be refunded to the renter on a pro-rata basis for any remaining months.
5. Review and Mediation
In cases where renters dispute a host's cancellation or refund, Adlo Inc. may step in to mediate and make a final decision based on the specific circumstances and the terms of the cancellation and refund policy in place at the time of booking.
6. Prevention and Mitigation
We encourage hosts to maintain their ad spaces to prevent cancellations due to maintenance issues and to have contingency plans in place for unforeseen circumstances.
Adlo Inc. is committed to ensuring a positive experience for both hosts and renters on our platform. Host cancellations should be a rare occurrence, and this policy is designed to protect the interests of all users while maintaining the reliability and integrity of our marketplace.

1 Month (30 Days):
Hosts can choose to waive the installation fee if a renter books for a duration of 30 days or longer, encouraging slightly extended commitments.
6 Months (180 Days):

How does the Minimum Booking Period (days) field operate on Adlo?
At Adlo, we empower hosts with tools to refine their booking preferences. Here's a glimpse into how the Minimum Booking Period (days) field enhances your control over Ad Space bookings:
1. Definition:
The Minimum Booking Period represents the shortest duration, in days, that you are willing to accept for your Ad Space. It's a powerful tool to tailor your space's availability to align with your hosting strategy.
2. Configuring Your Preference:
Set the Minimum Booking Period to your desired duration when creating your listing. For example, configuring it to 365 days signifies that you only accept bookings for a year or longer.
3. Restriction for Renters
By configuring the Minimum Booking Period, you establish a restriction for renters. In the example of a 365-day minimum, renters will be unable to book durations shorter than the specified year-long commitment.
With the Minimum Booking Period field, Adlo provides hosts with a valuable tool to shape their booking landscape, ensuring that your Ad Space aligns perfectly with your hosting preferences. Seize control and customize your Ad Space bookings effortlessly.
How does the Available Spaces field operate on Adlo?
Navigate the nuances of the Available Spaces field, a dynamic feature designed to optimize the management of your Ad Spaces with precision:
1. Efficient Management:
The Available Spaces field empowers hosts to oversee multiple identical spaces seamlessly under one listing. This is particularly useful when the spaces are identical, and renters do not have a specific preference for a particular Ad Space. Examples include digital billboards with multiple identical rotations or a building with multiple identically positioned and sized ads.
2. Precision for Identical Spaces
Utilize this feature when dealing with identical spaces, ensuring a streamlined and efficient process for renting and managing multiple spaces under a single listing.
3. Special Consideration:
For listings such as two-sided billboards, where renters often have a preference for a specific side, we recommend a more tailored approach. Create individual listings for each side to provide renters with the control and choice they desire.
Example below:
For this Ad space you could have 4 available spaces since they are all identical in size. If all spaces are currently vacant and an Ad Space renter books 1 space there would be 3 available for other renters. This also gives renters the ability to book more than 1 space to create a larger ad. If a renter wanted half of the entire ad space they would have to book 2 spaces. If they wanted to rent the entire space they would have to rent all 4 spaces.
The Available Spaces field on Adlo is your ally in navigating the diverse landscape of Ad Space management. Whether streamlining identical spaces or catering to renter preferences, this feature ensures your advertising assets are managed with finesse and precision.
How does the Buffer Period impact my listing?
1. Purpose of the Buffer Period:
The Buffer Period serves as a strategic delay for the start date of a booking. Because it can take time for the installation or removal of an ad, the Buffer Period function allows the host time to get things organized before the new ad goes live on the booking start date.
2. Unavailability Window:
For vacant listings, your space will be marked as unavailable for the duration specified in the Buffer Period.
3. Setting the Buffer Duration:
Specify the average duration, in days, from the moment you receive artwork from the renter to the completion of graphic installation.
Example Scenario:
If today's date is Jan 1st, 2024, and your vacant listing has a Buffer Period set at 14 days, it will display as unavailable today and become first available on January 14th, 2024. This strategic window provides renters with 14 days to ensure their artwork is installed before the booking start date.
The Buffer Period on Adlo is a tool designed to streamline your listing management, ensuring that the artwork installation process is seamless, coordinated, and factored into the installation process. Harness its potential to optimize your Ad Space functionality and provide renters with a transparent and efficient booking experience.
How does the auto-renewal option function?
Explore the streamlined process and benefits of the auto-renewal option, a feature designed to simplify the extension of bookings on Adlo:
1. Host's Auto-Renewal Setting:
When a host enables the auto-renewal option for their listing, renters gain the flexibility to extend their booking for an additional 12 months seamlessly. The auto-renewal option is only available for renters that book an ad space for a period of 12 months or more.
2. Renter Notification:
Renters receive a timely notification at month 9 of their current booking, providing a convenient 30-day window to consider and respond to the auto-renewal option. If the renter doesn’t respond to the notification, the auto-renewal option will automatically be declined.
3. Renewal Acceptance Process:
If the renter opts to accept the auto-renewal, 12 months will be added to their existing booking. Renters are presented with two options: keep existing artwork or opt for a change.
4. Artwork Modification Option:
Renters choosing to change their artwork during auto-renewal will incur an additional installation fee, charged at the beginning of the renewed period.
5. Effects on Availability:
For listings with auto-renewal enabled, the system automatically reserves the renewal period in the backend. This ensures that the Ad Space remains reserved for potential acceptance by the renter.
6. Availability Reversal:
In the event of the renter declining the auto-renewal, the reserved months become available again for other potential bookings.
The auto-renewal option on Adlo is a powerful tool for hosts and renters, streamlining the process of extending bookings and ensuring a transparent and flexible experience for all parties involved. Harness the convenience of auto-renewal to manage your Ad Space effortlessly.
Do discounts have any effect on auto-renewal?
When the auto-renewal option is accepted, the booking gracefully extends by 12 months. However, it's important to note that this extension doesn't alter the monthly rental rate. If a renter initially books for 1 year and chooses to accept the 1-year renewal option, they maintain the same monthly rate for the extended period. The renewal doesn't trigger a transition to the 2-year discounted rate.
